Sales Analytics
The Sales Analytics dashboard gives you a comprehensive view of your revenue, customer behavior, product performance, and payment health. Instead of exporting data to spreadsheets, you can analyze your sales directly within Shaari using interactive charts and filterable reports.
Revenue Trends and Charts
The revenue overview shows how your sales are performing over time:
- Line chart -- total revenue plotted daily, weekly, or monthly. Spot upward or downward trends at a glance.
- Bar chart -- revenue broken down by invoice type (standard, credit note, debit note). See how adjustments affect your net revenue.
- Summary cards -- total revenue, total invoices, average invoice value, and total tax collected for the selected period.
You can adjust the time range using the date picker at the top of the analytics page. Common presets include this month, last month, this quarter, this year, and custom date ranges.
Sales by Customer Analysis
Understand which customers drive the most revenue:
- Top customers table -- a ranked list of customers by total invoiced amount over the selected period.
- Customer revenue chart -- a visual breakdown showing each customer's share of total revenue.
- Customer growth -- track whether a customer's spending is increasing or decreasing over time.
Click on any customer in the table to drill down into their individual transaction history.
Use the customer analysis to identify your most valuable relationships. Customers who consistently generate high revenue may warrant dedicated account management or loyalty pricing.
Product Performance Metrics
Track how each product or service is performing:
- Top products by revenue -- which items generate the most income.
- Top products by quantity -- which items sell in the highest volumes.
This data helps you make informed decisions about which products to promote, discontinue, or reprice.
Payment Status Reports
Monitor the health of your receivables:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Paid | Invoices where full payment has been received. |
| Pending | Invoices that are approved and issued but not yet due. |
| Overdue | Invoices that have passed their due date without payment. |
| Partially Paid | Invoices where some payment has been received but a balance remains. |
The payment status dashboard shows:
- Outstanding balance -- the total amount currently owed to you across all unpaid invoices.
- Overdue amount -- the subset of outstanding balance that is past due.
A growing overdue balance is an early warning sign of cash flow problems. Review the aging analysis regularly and follow up on invoices that enter the 30+ day overdue category.
Period Comparison
Compare your performance across different time periods to identify growth trends and seasonal patterns:
- Month-over-month -- compare this month's revenue, invoice count, and average order value to last month's.
- Year-over-year -- compare the same month or quarter in the current year to the previous year.
- Custom comparison -- select any two date ranges to compare side by side.
Comparison reports show both absolute values and percentage changes, making it easy to quantify growth or decline.
Schedule a monthly review of your sales analytics. Compare the current month against the previous month and the same month last year. Look for patterns in customer behavior, product demand, and payment timeliness. These insights drive better business decisions than raw invoice data alone.
