Settings Overview
The Settings area in Shaari lets you configure your account, manage your subscription, set up integrations, and control how the platform behaves for your organization. Settings are organized into categories, each covering a specific aspect of your Shaari experience.
Settings Categories
| Category | What It Covers | Who Can Access |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Company information, logo, VAT number, CR number, address | Admin |
| Billing & Subscription | Plan management, payment methods, invoice history | Admin |
| ZATCA Phase 2 Setup | E-invoicing configuration, CSR generation, onboarding | Admin |
| Automation | Auto-archive policies and retention settings | Admin |
| Stamp & Signature | Company stamp image, authorized signatory | Admin |
| Subsidiaries | Multi-branch management, child tenants | Admin (Enterprise) |
| Notifications | Push, email, and in-app notification preferences | All users |
| Security | Password changes, session management | All users |
Admin-Only vs. All-User Settings
Most settings are restricted to admin users --- the tenant owner or users with administrative privileges. These settings affect the entire organization and include things like company information, billing, integrations, and automation rules.
Two settings categories are available to all users, regardless of their role:
- Notifications --- Every user can configure their own notification preferences, quiet hours, and delivery channels.
- Security --- Every user can change their own password and manage their active sessions.
If you do not see certain settings categories in the menu, your user account may not have admin privileges. Contact your organization's admin to request access or to have them make changes on your behalf.
How to Access Settings
Navigate to Settings from the main sidebar menu. The settings page displays all available categories as cards or tabs, depending on your screen size. Click on any category to open its configuration page.
On mobile devices, settings categories are displayed in a scrollable list. The layout adapts to your screen size while maintaining access to all the same options.
If you are setting up Shaari for the first time, work through the settings categories in this order: Account (company info), Billing (choose your plan), Stamp & Signature (upload your stamp), and then ZATCA Setup (if you need e-invoicing compliance).
